The cover has a round knob handle and fits over the rim of the jar. The cover seems slightly large, but it is the original. The glaze is crazed, otherwise lovely condition. 	Maker: Wood Arthur  Pattern:Ye Olde Davenport Biscuit Barrel c1920 Delightful octagonal biscuit barrel printed with a blue background and an English country scene almost in relief in white and blue tones out of the background. Original cane handle. The glaze is crazed and there are two tiny chips on the neck rim, which occured during manufacture and have been decorated and glazed over. Otherwise in good condition. 	Maker: Woods  Pattern:Yuan Biscuit Barrel c1930s The lid is slightly oversized and a little creamier than the base. The handle is contemporary, but not the original. The base is crazed with a little minor discolouration mainly inside and there is a small rim chip. One of the side knobs has been restuck but this is well camouflaged by the loop of the handle! Oh dear this does sound absolutely awful but actually most of the "problems" only apparent on close inspection.
