The Emperor of China's gardens at Gehol were known as the garden of 10,000 trees and lie some 150 miles to the north east of Peking. This scene is taken from an engraving published in 1806 in Travels in China by John Barrow. This was previously known as Chinese River Scene. This is a gorgeous little diamond shape dish with pattern on the inside only. No backstamp. A little minor wear to the rim otherwise excellent condition.
