Fabulous jug with two different scenes either side of the body. Text above the handle "The Queen's Head Inn Islington 17th Century" and below the spout "Whoe'er has travelled lifes dull round Where'er his stages may have been May sigh to think he still has found The warmest Welcome at an Inn" Shenstone. Backstamp: Royal Doulton England. Crazed and underneath a tiny nick to the foot, otherwise excellent condition.
