Fabulous hand painted platter with the signature of the artist David Miller on the front. Backstamp: Fleming Glasgow. Crazed with the occasional minor blemish and a little minor wear to the outer rim, overall excellent condition.

Made by Samuel Johnson of Britannia Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire. Printed in a black flow blue with a floral Art Nouveau design and gilt line decoration to the neck and foot. Some wear to gilt. Excellent condition. Blue printed backstamp of Britannia within circle, containing S Johnson, Burslem, Britannia Pottery and beneath England and Registered No 202311 for 1892
