A similar dish is illustrated on page 137 of The Dictionary of Blue and White Pottery. Backstamp: Davenport (upper and lower case) above an anchor. 	Maker: Davenport  Pattern:Gothic Ruins Series Plate pierced rim Fishermans Tale c1815 This is the Fisherman's Tale from the Gothic Ruins series. This is an absolutely gorgeous plate in superb condition. It has a pierced and basket weave rim surrounding the central scene which is printed in a lovely soft blue. The condition of this plate is unbelievable given its age. There is barely a scratch to the surface and the pierced rim is not only intact but hardly shows any signs of its age.
