Ewer c1855
James Jamieson of Bo'ness Pottery Scotland. Wonderful octagonal ewer with gorgous floral border around the foot and rim. Backstamp: Bosphorus J J & Co. There is a little wear to the rim and handle and some brown mottling mainly around the flange at the base of the ewer.

Meat Dish or Platter c1855
James Jamieson of Bo'ness Pottery Scotland. A lovely platter with fabulous wide floral border surrounding the central scene. Backstamp: Bosphorus J Jamieson & Co and impressed Porcelaine Opaque J Jamieson & Co Boness. Light all over crazing with just a hint of minor discolouration to the rim and on the back. Overall excellent condition.

Jug or Pitcher c1835 Maker: Jamieson  Pattern:Falconry
Jug or Pitcher c1835
James Jamieson & Co of Bo'ness Pottery, Scotland were active 1826 to 1854 and Falconry is one of their best known patterns, found printed in various colours, here in blue. This jug bears an inscription to Robert & Jessy Eason, Readcraig. This is Robert Eason, who married Janet Page (Jessy is a pet name for Janet) some time prior to 1841 and they lived at Red Craigs Farm, Dunfermline, Fifeshire in the mid 1800s. Below is the verse "When this you see think of me, And keep me in your mind, Let all the world say what they will, Speak of me as you find." Backstamp: blue printed cartouche with Falconry and initials J J & Co above. The glaze is heavily crazed and stained and there is a long crack down the body from one side of the spout.
