Plate c1825 Maker: Leeds Pottery  Pattern:Jar and Fisherman
Plate c1825
This Chinoisierie design packs so much into a small area! There is a fisherman in a boat, a large jar containing what appear to be weapons, an ornate bridge with man and parasol crossing. Trees, plants and river galore. An absolute delight. Backstamp: no maker's backstamp, although this pattern has been found marked for Leeds Pottery and attributed to Don Pottery also. Crazed with some discolouration although this is mainly on the back. Overall a fine example of this pattern.
Dimensions: 24 cm / 9.5 ins
Our ref: 19CN49300
