Maker: Maling  Pattern:Ringtons Bridges Tea Canister c1929 This is the squat version of canister and is the special canister produced for the North-East Coast Industries Exhibition. Around the body of the canister are featured: Wearmouth Bridge Sunderland, Royal Tweed Bridge Berwick, High Level & Swing Bridges Newcastle, The New Tyne Bridge Newcastle, and St Nicholas Cathedral Newcastle. The canister has light crazing and a little minor discolouration around the rim otherwise is in excellent condition. It has blue printed backstamp TR (Ringtons Tea) with a picture of the Ringtons offices & Warehouse Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and underneath Maling Ware Regd Nos 745864-5. The lid has some staining underneath and has blue printed backstamp.
