Maker: Meigh Pattern:Asiatic Birds brown Toy Soup Plate c1840 The pattern is similar to Asiatic Pheasants, but here printed in brown. The glaze is crazed. Impressed backstamp is a T and we would love to know for sure, who made this and the other pieces we have at present. In English Toy China by Doris Anderson Lechler it is attributed to Charles Meigh of Hanley, Staffordshire 1832 to 1850 and we have gone along with that here. The glaze is crazed, with some light staining to rim and back, but overall in good condition. There is no maker's backstamp.
