	Maker: Minton Pattern:Hermit Meat Dish or Platter with tree and well c1815 This is an early example of this attractive chinoiserie pattern, which is derived from an original design on Chinese porcelain. Better known as Chinoiserie Bridgeless and sometimes called Man in Doorway, it was designated Hermit by Minton. We have attributed this platter to Minton on the basis of the details of the design and the presence of a tiny blue printed crown symbol on the back, which is recorded as a potter's mark on Minton wares in this design. Backstamp: Tiny blue printed crown. Crazed with some light staining here and there, but the glaze is still pearly bright and shines almost like new. Overall excellent condition. 	Maker: Minton Pattern:Hermit Meat Dish or Platter c1800 An early example of a popular chinoiserie design usually associated with Davenport and Minton, although other makers made it. Also known as Chinoserie Bridgeless and Man in Doorway. This platter is a convenient decorative size and in beautiful condition, with some crazing to the glaze on the back and just a few signs to the face, otherwise bright and clean. No makers mark, but the quality of the potting and the glaze makes attribution safe. It is especially lightly potted. Dimensions: 37 cm x 29 cm / 14.5 ins x 11.5 ins Our ref: 19CN20346

	Maker: Minton Pattern:Hermit Covered Vegetable Dish c1805 A wonderful dish with cover which has an elegant scroll finial. This pattern was made by various potters, usually named Bridgeless Chinoiserie, although this piece is attributed to Minton, based on various details in the design, the style of moulded finial and the blue printed worker's mark. All are identifiable as Minton. Their name for the pattern was Hermit. No maker's backstamp, except both base and cover have a small blue printed crown, as a worker's mark. The glaze is lightly crazed, although still gleams like new. The finial has some wear on the front and a small area is rubbed through to the clay. On the rim of the base a tiny flake of glaze is missing. A few other minor manufacturing blemishes. Overall this is in lovely condition and a quality piece. 	Maker: Minton Pattern:Two Temples Jug or Pitcher c1895 Lovely jug printed in a rich cobalt blue and with lovely printed floral detail along the line of the handle. 	Maker: Minton Pattern:Two Temples Jug or Pitcher Toast Water c1820 This pattern is also known as Broseley. An unusual item, an attractive jug with an integral strainer and a lid. Jugs of this type are usually known as toast water jugs as they were ideal for making that traditional cure-all liquid. It has had a life, but is in pretty good condition overall. The jug has a minor chip to the spout and some patches of light crazing, which have taken up a bit of staining, but this is virtually all inside. There is a stress-firing crack up the bottom of the handle. The lid is rather fancy, with a large cut out to fit round the handle and a prominent lip to fit over the strainer. It has a dark blue basket weave finial. There is a manufacturing chip, glazed over, to the rim that just shows through! There are also three other later chips, which mainly affect the underside of the rim. It is one of those pieces that sounds awful, but looks fine. 	Maker: Minton Pattern:Willow Teapot c1908 An absolutely delightful teapot in flow blue Willow with deep cobalt handle and spout. The lid is the right one in the sense that it is Minton, right size and same age as the pot, but is decorated with a scenic design called Welbeck, rather than Willow. You have to wonder if it left the factory like that! So not one for the Willow purists, but if you want a beautiful flow blue teapot a delight. Stress crack across gate inside, there since it was made, but otherwise in superb condition, almost as new. Blue printed crown and globe backstamp with Mintons and impressed date cypher for 1908.
