Jug or Pitcher c1840 Maker: Nantgarw Pottery  Pattern:Unidentified Pattern colour
Jug or Pitcher c1840
An unusual moulded jug with an amorial design painted and highlighted with gilt. This is earthenware and from the later Pardoe period at Nantgarw. Backstamp: Nantgarw on a raised pad. This has two small chips to the spout, one of which has resulted in a tiny hairline. There is some wear to the gilt and some general minor signs of wear, but overall a lovely piece.
Dimensions: 0.6 ltr, 14 cm high / 1 pint, 5.5 ins high
