F and R Pratt of Fenton, Staffordshire produced their Lake Scenery from about 1880 to 1920. It is a 19th century design, but it is not known from which maker Pratts acquired the printing plates. These hexagonal vases are typical Pratt's wares. The print was blurred during manufacturing and both vases have chips to rims and are crazed all over. One of the vases has a plastic flower container fixed inside. Despite all this they are a pair of Pratts Lake Scenery vases!

A lovely pair of hexagonal vases with Pratts delightful lake scene. This pattern has so much to offer! In the foreground, next to a cottage and on the banks of the lake is a seated family playing with a dog. A little way into the lake there are some more buildings with cattle drinking, and in the distance and on the far side of the lake is a mountain. Finally a very pretty floral border around the foot and neck. These bases are crazed and one has a small chip to the foot. There is some green glaze to the neck of both vases but overall these are a really attractive.

Square with cut corners this is a good size vase and particularly well printed for this pattern. Very pretty floral border around the foot and the rim, both inside and out.
