A truly beautiful dish with a charming scene, which was derived from two aquatints of Indian street scenes in T & W Daniell's Oriental Scenery. The Sacred Tree of the Hindoos at Gyah, Bahar provided the tree on the left and View on the Chitpore Road, Calcutta the buildings on the right. No backstamp. A little minor surface scratching overall excellent condition.

Stunning is the best way to describe this fabulous dish printed in a rich blue with tree and well feature. This is a given name for this charming scene, which was derived from two aquatints of Indian street scenes in T & W Daniell's Oriental Scenery. The Sacred Tree of the Hindoos at Gyah, Bahar provided the tree on the left and View on the Chitpore Road, Calcutta the buildings on the right. No backstamp. It is crazed and there is some rubbing and glaze loss to the outer rim at 1 & 2 o'clock. There are a couple of minor glazing blemishes to the face and on the back there are 2 old chips to the stand. Sounds much worse than it looks this is a wonderful dish.

This is a given name for this charming scene, which was derived from two aquatints of Indian street scenes in T & W Daniell's Oriental Scenery. The Sacred Tree of the Hindoos at Gyah, Bahar provided the tree on the left and View on the Chitpore Road, Calcutta the buildings on the right. This is a fabulous dish printed in a rich blue. No backstamp just impressed 18. Crazed with some surface scratching and minor wear but nothing major. Overall a stunning dish.

A couple of tiny blemishes to the face otherwise excellent condition.

John and Richard Riley of Burslem, Staffordshire active 1796-1828. A wonderful little dish with veined leaf effect inside. There are a few minor signs of wear, a couple of minor chips and a small hairline to the foot underneath otherwise in excellent condition. No makers marks.
