Maker: Spode Pattern:Fruit and Flowers Plate c1847 This is a late Spode design introduced about 1826 and the name of the pattern refers to the border. Variants are found printed in brown, pattern B139 and later in green, pattern B184. The pattern name was used later to refer to a different design, then on 14 December 1892 the original Fruit and Flowers pattern was registered with number 204192 under the pattern name May and produced with different centres. Here on this lovely plate the pattern is in a beautiful flow blue. Backstamp: Green printed Copeland and impressed Copeland and Garrett New Blanche. There is a small glazing blemish to the left side of the face and a little wear to the outer rim otherwise excellent condition. A very pretty plate. Dimensions: 22 cm / 8.75 ins Our ref: 19CN41603 |
