Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Buddleia Basket with Stand c1800 An absolutely gorgeous basket and stand so delicately assembled that it is a wonder it has survived all of these years. This design is also known as Temple Landscape and is recorded as made by Spode, Wolfe and Garner, but there are differences of detail on the engravings used by these makers, which often enables the maker of a particular piece to be identified. This basket and stand appear to be by another as yet unidentified maker as the engraving does not match any of the known makers. No backstamp. Blue painted potters mark of large tick or V with one arm longer than the other. The stand has light crazing with just a hint of discolouration and there are a few minor hairlines to the pierced rim. The basket has light crazing with a little minor discolouration underneath, but overall excellent condition.
