Soup Tureen Stand c1835
This stand is printed with a scene from Lord Byron's famous love poem She Walks in Beauty. This is one of a series of scenes that go to make-up this pattern Byron Gallery produced by an unknown maker. Goodwins & Harris produced a similar pattern and both were inspired by The Byron Gallery, a book of engravings depicting scenes from Byron's poetic works, first published in 1832 and re-issued at least twice in 1838 and 1844. Backstamp: black printed cartouche with BYRON GALLERY within and She Walks in Beauty beneath.

Dinner Plate c1835
This plate is printed with a scene from Lord Byron's poem Bride of Abydos. Abydos is an ancient town of Phrygia, Asia Minor, on the Asian side of the Hellespont opposite Sestos, in present-day Turkey. It was the setting for the story of Hero and Leander. This is one of a series of scenes that go to make-up this pattern Byron Gallery produced by an unknown maker. Goodwins & Harris produced a similar pattern and both were inspired by The Byron Gallery, a book of engravings depicting scenes from Byron's poetic works, first published in 1832 and re-issued at least twice in 1838 and 1844. Backstamp: black printed cartouche with BYRON GALLERY within and Bride of Abydos beneath. The glaze is sound. There is a rim chip at 3 o'clock on the face. On the back a rim chip and two chips to the foot-rim. Bit battered, but still bright and clean.
