Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Palladian Porch Plate c1820 An intriguing Classical scene, which was assembled from three elements in engravings in Views in the Ottoman Empire by Luigi Mayer, published 1803. Pieces in this pattern have been found with impressed backstamps for Bathwell & Goodfellow, Rogers and on one occasion Spode. There also appears to be an unidentified maker. No backstamp. A little surface scratching, tiny rubs to the rim at 11 o'clock & 1 o'clock and a little roughness to one of the stilt marks, overall really excellent condition. Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern:Palladian Porch Soup Plate c1820 An intriguing Classical scene, which was assembled from three elements in engravings in Views in the Ottoman Empire by Luigi Mayer, published 1803. Pieces in this pattern have been found with impressed backstamps for Bathwell & Goodfellow, Rogers and on one occasion Spode. There also appears to be an unidentified maker. This is an absolutely gorgeous soup plate printed in a lovely soft blue. No backstamp. The surface is quite scratched with a couple of tiny tiny nicks. There is a little minor wear to the rim and a little loss of glaze to a possible hairline underneath the rim, but this does not go through to the front. Overall a lovely piece.
