Ferrara is a port in northern Italy and Wedgwood had the design engraved in 1832 and produced it in various forms until the 1960s. The sailing ships were copied from an engraving of Liverpool Docks, England. Backstamp: Ferrara Etruria England Wedgwood and impressed Wedgwood. Excellent condition.

Bone China with gilt. This is really lovely. A delightful little covered sugar printed in a light steely blue. Lovely feature to the top of the handles where they divide just before joining the pot. Excellent condition.
