Printed in a mid blue. Ferrara is a port in Northern Italy. The sailing ships were copied from an engraving of Liverpool Docks, England. From a ewer and bowl set but is a lovely piece on its own being beautifully patterned both inside and out.
Backstamp: Ferrara Etruria England Wedgwood, impressed Wedgwood, Made in England and date for 193?.
